Contractor Attitude Survey 2020
As a contractor, you may have noticed that things can change quickly and often unexpectedly. From your working practices to the ever-changing legislation and the state of the job market, it can feel like the rug has been pulled from under your feet, leaving you with a feeling of uncertainty towards the future.
We want to know how the last year has been for you. We’ve released this year’s Contractor Attitude Survey, giving contractors such as yourselves the chance to share your insights and experiences with those looking to get their first foot on the ladder of self-employment.
What is the Contractor Attitude Survey?
Each year, our team puts the survey together to give a better understanding of the market, based on the responses from contractors up and down the country. The feedback we receive from the survey allows us to continue providing an outstanding level of support to contractors, and discover common areas of concern.
What did last year’s survey reveal?
This time last year, over 1800 contractors shared their insight into how they felt about the state of the industry, and their experiences as a contractor. The top findings from last year were:
- Almost half of respondents (46.6%) worked in the IT sector
- 46.5% of respondents had their most recent contract based in London
- 31.6% of respondents see themselves contracting for 11 years or longer
It’s not too late
There’s still time to take part in this year’s survey, and make your voice heard. Our survey is open to all contractors, not just our clients, so feel free to share it around with other contractors. You’ve got up until 21st July to share your thoughts. There’s even the chance to win one of five £100 vouchers for a retailer of your choice.
The 2020 Contractor Attitude Survey is now closed. Keep an eye on our website and social channels to see how your input shaped this year’s survey and read more insights.
