Coronavirus Job Retention Scheme: The Cost of Getting it Wrong
Recent comments by Richard Nott, website director of CWJobs.co.uk, indicates that IT skills are very highly sought after in the UK, despite the aftermath of the recession – something which can only be music to the ears of IT contractors. Mr Nott is quoted as saying that there is still a shortage of IT professionals who have the expertise which UK companies require, and that the more ‘cutting edge’ skills in particular are needed in banking and finance.
Nott also stated, “There’s a good opportunity for people to train up in certain areas and this will allow people who are looking for IT work become more marketable. While the last 18 months has been tough on the IT jobs market, now it’s slowly coming back, and I would expect the market to keep growing at a medium paced rate for the next couple of years”.
