A new report has shown that contractors in the education sector are finding themselves in high demand, which in turn, could result in very competitive rates of pay.
The latest Giant Group research revealed that the many respondents to the survey are currently experiencing higher hourly rates, with the majority predicting a continued rise in earnings.
Of those surveyed, 65% said that they expect an increase in rates over the coming year, 21% said that they expect no change and just 14% predicted a decrease.
This confidence is certainly not misplaced, as a report by recruitment agency Randstad Education found that on average, there were around 41,000 supply teachers working in UK schools each week during spring term, which is 4,000 up from last year.
